Omega, the extravagant watch producer, is well-known for its graceful, daring and fluent style in the world. Many prestigious stars, celebrities, politics wear Omega watches. To name just a few are Cindy Crawford, Michael Schumacher and the Chinese film star Zhang Ziyi. Since its creation in Switzerland in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has never halted looking for innovation and improvement.
At the beginning, Louis founded the company by buying some hand-operated winding watches from the local crafters for reference. Over years, after numerous trials and adjustments, Omega gradually grew to the industry standard.
In 1903, there are only 800 staff in the company and only 240,000 watches were finished every year. However, the company extended nonstop. The company once rose to number one watch producer in Switzerland. In the 1960s, the company launched the Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronography and put into aviation use. It was employed by NASA and became the first watch showing up in the moon. But the tide reversed in 1975 when the economic recession stroke. The company struggled forward.
Because of its adventurous spirit, the company born again in the 90s. In 1995, the Omega Seamaster Quartz Professional was worn by Pierce Brosnan, a famed film actor. Four years later, in 1999, it mass produced a watch with co-axial escapement and won a great deal of popularity. Ever since then, Omega is so popular among the world that it was chosen to be the Olympics watches.
Omega never ends improving. Nowadays, it is proposing a variety of models. Some of them could be fashionable for fashionistas, while some are professional designed for the professional.I believe the brand will glitter eternally.
